At least one person was killed after a hit-and-run crash involving five vehicles at the intersection of 47th Street East and Avenue R-8 in Palmdale on Monday night, December 22, 2025.
According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the collision occurred just before 9:30 p.m. A video from the scene showed significant damage to four vehicles, while authorities stated that a fifth vehicle had fled the area following the crash.
One victim was transported to a hospital, where they later died. Officials did not confirm how many additional people may have been injured.
Witnesses told investigators that two vehicles appeared to be racing prior to the collision, although authorities stated that no further details were immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
