A woman was killed after being ejected from an SUV that crashed into a telephone pole on Riggin Avenue, west of Akers Street, in Visalia on Saturday night, December 13, 2025.
According to the Visalia Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:20 p.m. and found a light-colored SUV that had collided with a telephone pole, along with an unconscious woman lying in the roadway.
First responders provided life-saving medical aid at the scene, but the woman was pronounced dead. Investigators said she was the only passenger in the vehicle and was ejected through either a side window or the sunroof.
Police said the driver, identified as 38-year-old Christina T., was not injured and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The Visalia Police Department Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation.
