A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck in the 900 block of West San Marcos Boulevard in San Marcos late Saturday night, December 13, 2025.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched around 11:45 p.m. and found the pedestrian in the westbound lanes of West San Marcos Boulevard.
Authorities said the collision involved a maroon Ford F-150 and a pedestrian. Deputies and paramedics attempted lifesaving measures at the scene, but the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:58 p.m.
Officials said the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
The investigation is ongoing.
