A man was found unresponsive after a hit-and-run collision in South Los Angeles early Wednesday, December 10, 2025, though police later confirmed he survived the impact.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded around 5:10 a.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck near Florence Avenue and Normandie Avenue in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood.
Responding units found an adult male lying in the roadway, unconscious and not breathing, before firefighters arrived.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where officials determined he was still alive. His current condition has not been released.
The driver who hit him did not remain at the scene, and no description of the vehicle or suspect has been provided.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the LAPD. The incident remains under investigation.
