A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in La Verne on Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2024.
The La Verne Police Department reported receiving calls about the collision at approximately 4:55 p.m. at the intersection of Bonita Avenue and Damien Avenue.
Emergency crews, including La Verne Fire personnel, responded to the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been factors in the crash.
