A teenage skateboarder suffered major injuries after being struck at the intersection of Murrieta and Murphy Ranch roads in Menifee on Monday night, December 1, 2025.
According to the Menifee Police Department, the crash happened around 9:35 p.m. when the teenager, who was riding a non-motorized skateboard southbound on Murrieta, entered the intersection without reflective gear and was hit by a Honda Civic traveling at an unconfirmed speed.
Agency spokesman Chase Coburn said the boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the skateboard and sustained head injuries and abrasions to his arms. The driver stopped to render aid, and a passenger called 911.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics treated the teenager before he was transported to a regional trauma center, where he remained in critical but stable condition on Tuesday. Police questioned the motorist, who was not arrested, and said drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors.
The investigation is ongoing.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
