A 26-year-old man was critically injured in a two-car crash at North Sanborn Road and Boronda Road in Salinas early Saturday morning, November 29, 2025.
According to the Salinas Police Department, the collision happened around 7:15 a.m. when a 37-year-old woman driving a Cadillac Escalade was making a right turn onto eastbound Boronda Road.
At the same time, a Chevy Silverado approached the intersection at a high rate of speed. Police said the Silverado’s driver braked, causing the truck to lock its tires and skid sideways before the driver side collided with the rear of the Escalade.
Authorities reported the Silverado sustained major damage and the 26-year-old driver was transported to Natividad Medical Center in critical condition. Police said he was suspected of driving under the influence. The Escalade driver was not injured.
Based on evidence at the scene, officers estimated the Silverado was traveling around 70 miles per hour at the time of the crash. Police said possible DUI charges would be forwarded to the district attorney’s office.
The investigation is ongoing.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
