INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT?

[11-29-2025] Merced County, CA – One Dead, Four Injured After Head-On Crash on SR-165 South of Cotton Gin Road in Los Banos

One motorist was killed and four others were injured after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 165 south of Cotton Gin Road near Los Banos on Saturday afternoon, November 29, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. when a northbound 2021 Toyota Camry crossed into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota Sienna.

After the impact, the Camry struck a guardrail. CHP said the driver of the Camry, who was the only occupant, died at the scene. The four occupants of the Sienna sustained injuries ranging from minor to major.

CHP stated that alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors. Authorities have not released the name of the deceased pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
