Two people were critically injured when a truck crashed into a tree on Seabright Avenue in Santa Cruz on Tuesday afternoon, November 26, 2024.
According to the Santa Cruz Police Department, the crash occurred when the truck, driven by a man with a female passenger, accelerated into a nearby tree for reasons still under investigation.
Both occupants sustained critical injuries and were transported to the hospital. One of the victims was scheduled to be airlifted, weather permitting. Police reported that one of the individuals may have been revived at the scene.
Authorities have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. Both individuals remain in critical condition.
