Two teenage girls were hospitalized, and four other juveniles were detained after a short vehicle pursuit ended in a crash in Spring Valley, San Diego County, early Monday morning, November 25, 2024.
The incident began around 1:00 a.m. when sheriff’s deputies attempted to pull over a car for an unspecified traffic violation on Bancroft Drive. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies onto eastbound state Route 94.
During the pursuit, the vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree. Emergency responders transported the two injured teenage girls to a hospital via ambulance. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
Four juveniles were detained and questioned at the scene. No arrests had been announced.
Sheriff’s deputies are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and pursuit.
