![[11-20-2025] Two Men Injured After Pickup Overturns on Highway 101 South of Gaviota State Park](https://ak1.to//SmGy.webp)
Two men were injured after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 just south of Gaviota State Park in Santa Barbara County on Thursday afternoon, November 20, 2025.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a Dodge pickup veered off the southbound side of the highway and overturned shortly after noon.
Fire Capt. Scott Safechuck said the vehicle came to rest about 150 feet off the roadway with two male occupants inside. Firefighters used hydraulic Jaws of Life tools to extricate both individuals from the wreckage, a process that took approximately 15 minutes.
Safechuck reported that one occupant sustained moderate injuries while the other had minor injuries. Both were taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Their names and updated conditions were not available. A dog inside the pickup was uninjured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
