A 68-year-old man was killed in a collision after a suspected DUI driver ran a red light in the Florence section of South Los Angeles on Monday night, November 17, 2025.
The crash was reported at 10:27 p.m. at the intersection of West 76th Street and Broadway, where a southbound Chevrolet Trax collided with an eastbound Toyota Camry, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The 68-year-old man driving the Camry was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the compact SUV, who allegedly ran a red light and was later found to be under the influence of alcohol, sustained minor injuries and was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, police said.
The suspect’s name, age, and gender were not immediately available. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
