[11-08-2025] Ventura County, CA – 35-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Naumann Road Near Etting Road

A 35-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash as he walked in an agricultural area outside Camarillo in Ventura County on November 8, 2025.

The California Highway Patrol responded shortly before midnight to Naumann Road, south of Etting Road, on a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.

The area is in unincorporated Ventura County off Highway 1 between Camarillo and south Oxnard. Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office were already on scene and transferred the investigation to CHP.

According to CHP officials, the man had been walking northbound on Naumann Road when he was struck by a vehicle and propelled into a Dodge Charger parked on the right side of the road. He died at the scene. The driver fled, and no information about the vehicle or driver was available.

The crash is being investigated by the CHP Ventura area office.
