A male pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle at Norwalk Boulevard and Wardlow Road in Long Beach on Saturday night, November 8, 2025.
Officers responded at approximately 9:06 p.m. to reports of an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, they found Long Beach Fire Department personnel treating a male adult pedestrian. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, a white Honda CR-V driven by a 56-year-old woman from Garden Grove was traveling eastbound on Wardlow Road when it struck the pedestrian, who was in the roadway outside of a crosswalk. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Speed, distracted driving, and driving under the influence are not considered contributing factors at this time. The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
