A 70-year-old man was severely injured after a hit-and-run collision in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, on Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024.

The accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. when a dark-colored sedan traveling southbound on Lankershim Boulevard struck the man, who was crossing the street in a wheelchair near the intersection of Erwin Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver failed to stop, identify themselves, or render aid to the injured person, fleeing the scene southbound on Lankershim Boulevard at a high rate of speed.

The victim was transported to a hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries. The victim’s identity has not been immediately released.
