A motorcyclist who was not wearing a helmet was killed in a crash involving a pickup truck in San Jose on Friday evening, October 31, 2025.
According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred around 5:48 p.m. on the 100 block of North 24th Street near San Jose High School.
A preliminary investigation determined that a man riding a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north on North 24th Street at a high rate of speed when he collided with a 2016 Toyota pickup truck backing out of a driveway.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
