A pedestrian was killed in a crash on North Fremont Street in Monterey on Friday morning, October 31, 2025.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:04 a.m. when a vehicle struck a pedestrian near Ramona Avenue.
The pedestrian, identified as 52-year-old Charles P. II, died from his injuries.
Monterey police said the driver had the right of way, and the investigation indicates that it was an accident. There were no signs of DUI, and the driver remained at the scene, cooperating with the investigation.
