[10-23-2026] Orange County, CA – Woman Killed in Suspected DUI Hit-and-Run Crash in Garden Grove

A 69-year-old woman died in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash in Garden Grove on Friday night, October 23, 2026.

According to Garden Grove police Sgt. Thomas Capps, the incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle was reported at around 11:15 p.m. at Harbor Boulevard and Palm Avenue.

Police said a white Cadillac SRX left the scene without stopping. The witness followed the vehicle until Garden Grove officers stopped it.

Paramedics transported the woman to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. Police said impairment was believed to have contributed to the collision.

The investigation remains ongoing.
