A man in his 50s was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Watt Avenue in Sacramento on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. near Longview Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Preliminary investigations indicate the pedestrian was running across the intersection while the traffic light was green.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The incident is still under investigation by CHP.
