[10-22-2026] Fresno County, CA – Man Killed In Head-On Crash With Semi-Truck West of Kerman

A man died in a head-on collision involving a Nissan and a semi-truck west of Kerman in Fresno County on Thursday morning, October 22, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to multiple reports of a collision on Highway 180 near Napa Avenue.

Investigators determined that the Nissan was traveling westbound on the wrong side of the highway when it collided head-on with an eastbound semi-truck.

CHP said witnesses reported seeing the Nissan speeding before the collision.

The Nissan driver died from his injuries. His identity has not been released, but CHP said he worked at a federal prison. The semi-truck driver was uninjured and was not transported to a hospital.

Whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision was unknown. The crash remains under investigation.
