A bicyclist was killed after being struck by two hit-and-run vehicles on Pacific Avenue near 45th Street in Vernon early Wednesday morning, October 22, 2025.
According to Vernon Police Department Lt. Gabriel Martinez, the crash was reported around 6:30 a.m. The male victim, whose name and age have not yet been released, was initially hit by a vehicle traveling south on Pacific Avenue. The driver did not stop.
The impact threw the rider into the northbound lanes, where he was struck by a second vehicle that also fled the scene. Descriptions of the vehicles involved have not been determined as detectives continue their investigation.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Lt. Martinez expressed condolences to the rider’s loved ones.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
