[10-19-2025] Santa Barbara County, CA – 18-Year-Old Arrested After DUI Crash Near Santa Barbara Bowl Injures Four People

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after crashing a sedan into a tree near the Santa Barbara Bowl, injuring four people on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

According to Santa Barbara police, the crash occurred around 12:35 a.m. near the intersection of North Milpas and Anapamu streets. 

The driver, identified as Sebastian L., was reportedly eastbound on Anapamu Street when he failed to navigate the 90-degree turn onto Milpas Street and crashed into a tree.

Sebastian and three passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment. Sebastian was arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony child endangerment, as one of the passengers was a juvenile.

Sebastian will be booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail upon his release from the hospital. The names and conditions of the injured passengers were not immediately available.
