A man was killed after being struck by two vehicles in Fresno on Wednesday night, October 16, 2024.
According to the Fresno Police Department, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian accident at Villa and Olive Avenues around 8:10 p.m.
Police stated that a driver traveling westbound on Olive Avenue hit a man in his 20s, who was reportedly carrying several items and blocking the roadway in a dimly lit area.
After the initial collision, the driver pulled over and stayed at the scene. However, a second vehicle, believed to be a mid-sized sedan, struck the pedestrian again and then fled the scene.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs were involved. The investigation is ongoing.
