A vehicle collision in a work zone on Highway 299 East at Old Oregon Trail near Shasta College in Redding resulted in two hospitalizations on Monday morning, October 14, 2024.
The accident occurred around 6:00 a.m., involving a white pickup and a white Honda Accord, according to authorities on the scene.
Emergency Medical Services, Caltrans, and the California Highway Patrol Redding responded, temporarily halting all eastbound traffic to clear debris.
Both vehicles were towed, and the injured individuals were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
