A male passenger in a Ford was killed, and two other individuals sustained moderate injuries following a head-on collision with a BMW in Lancaster on Saturday morning, October 12, 2024.
The crash occurred around 6:18 a.m. near the intersection of 55th Street East and East Avenue J, according to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
Authorities report that a BMW traveling westbound veered into the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with the Ford.
Emergency crews, including paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, responded to the scene and transported three people to Antelope Valley Medical Center. One person was later pronounced dead at the hospital, while the other two suffered moderate injuries.
Investigators have not yet determined whether alcohol, drugs, or speed contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
