[10-11-2024] Injuries Reported After Two-Vehicle Head-On Crash in Hermosa BeachAn alleged wrong-way driver who triggered a head-on crash in Hermosa Beach was arrested after being spotted bloodied while walking down Pacific Coast Highway on Friday evening, October 11, 2024.

The crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway, where the other motorist involved received treatment at the scene from Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics. The condition of that motorist is not immediately known.

Hermosa Beach police reported that the alleged wrong-way driver left his vehicle and was seen jumping a fence. Approximately three hours after the crash, a patrol sergeant discovered him covered in blood walking down Pacific Coast Highway. He was arrested and taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The Hermosa Beach Police Department stated, “The HBPD Traffic Bureau is in the process of filing multiple felony charges against the suspect.”

The investigation is ongoing.
