[10-08-2026] Stanislaus County, CA – One Killed, Three Injured After Vehicle Crashes Into Home in Modesto

One person died, and three others were injured after a vehicle crashed into a home in Modesto on Thursday morning, October 8, 2026.

According to the Modesto Police Department, the crash occurred near the intersection of Fortuna and Encina avenues.

Police said the crash resulted from a medical emergency, causing the vehicle to collide with the residence.

Three people involved in the incident were occupants of the vehicle, while another person was inside the home at the time of the crash.

Authorities initially reported that four people were transported to a hospital. Police later confirmed that one of those individuals had died. The extent of the surviving victims’ injuries was not immediately available.
