A two-vehicle collision on Ammunition Road just east of the Camp Pendleton gate in San Diego County slowed traffic briefly on Tuesday morning, October 7, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 6:08 a.m. near Alturas Road and involved a silver Volkswagen Jetta and a blue Kia.
Both vehicles were moved to the right shoulder after the crash. No major injuries were reported, though an ambulance was requested as a precaution.
One person was evaluated in the back of the ambulance by a paramedic for a gash on the top of her head.
CHP units responded to the scene, and traffic was cleared without further incident.
