Five people, including two children, were hospitalized after a crash involving a FedEx truck on the Lake Natomas Crossing bridge in Folsom on October 6, 2024.
According to Folsom Fire Department Battalion Chief Bill Woodward, the collision occurred around 12:15 p.m. when a southbound FedEx truck drifted into the northbound lanes, colliding with four other vehicles. Several of these vehicles were struck head-on.
Eight individuals were involved in the incident, with five—three adults and two children—sustaining injuries ranging from minor to moderate and transported to the hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The involved vehicles included a FedEx truck, three SUVs, and a pickup truck towing a trailer.
