A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood early Saturday morning, October 4, 2025.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, officers responded around 2:10 a.m. to reports of a collision at Cortland and Anderson streets.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering severe injuries in the street. Emergency personnel transported the victim to a hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
Investigators determined that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the driver.
The investigation is ongoing.
