One man was killed and another person was injured following a two-vehicle crash in Acton, Los Angeles County, on Monday evening, September 30, 2024.
The crash occurred at 6:27 p.m. between a white Nissan Sentra and a dark-colored pickup truck at the intersection of Sierra Highway and San Gabriel Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. The impact left the Nissan split in half.
CHP Officer Sean Lough reported that the driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.
The driver of the pickup truck, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
