[09-28-2026] Sonoma County, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Suspected Hit-and-Run Crash in Santa Rosa

A pedestrian was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in Santa Rosa on Monday morning, September 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log, officers responded before 8:00 a.m. to the area of Guerneville Road and Frei Road.

Authorities found the pedestrian in a ditch along the edge of the roadway. Broken glasses and headphones were also located in the street. An ambulance responded, and the victim was later pronounced dead.

CHP reported that a heavily damaged bicycle, found approximately 1 to 2 miles away, may be associated with the incident.

Additional information about the victim and any vehicle potentially involved was not immediately available.
