A 57-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck and rolled over by a vehicle in Pacific Beach, San Diego, on Sunday night, September 21, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision occurred around 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Oliver Avenue and Ingraham Street.
A northbound Mazda CX-5, driven by a 31-year-old, broadsided the eastbound bicyclist after failing to stop at a stop sign. The bicyclist was knocked to the ground in front of the vehicle, which then rolled over him. The rolling vehicle also struck a curb and a metal gate. The bicyclist suffered multiple fractured ribs. His name has not been released.
Authorities stated that driving under the influence is not suspected, and Traffic Division officers are investigating.
