One bicyclist was killed and another injured in a head-on collision on a pathway near Lake Murray in San Diego on Friday morning, September 19, 2025.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Interstate 8 and 70th Street. The mortally injured bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while paramedics transported the other adult bicyclist to a trauma center. The condition of the hospitalized bicyclist has not been disclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
