The victim was walking in Downtown Hayfork around 4:30 p.m. when she noticed some dogs following her.
It was reported that the victim initially felt unafraid and continued walking, but the dogs became aggressive and attacked her. They bit her leg, causing the victim to fall to the ground while screaming for help.
Community members rushed to her aid, calling 911 and her mother. The victim’s mother stated that the dogs involved are owned but not licensed or vaccinated.
