A bicyclist was fatally struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run incident in Northridge, Los Angeles on Thursday evening, September 19, 2024.
The collision occurred at around 9:20 p.m. prompting officers from the Los Angeles Police Department to respond to the vicinity of 8556 N. Lindley Avenue and Parthenia Street, where they discovered the victim.
Officers learned that the driver of the vehicle was heading north on Lindley Avenue near Napa Street when the collision happened, knocking the bicyclist into the street.
The driver fled the scene without stopping, and police reported that four or five additional vehicles subsequently struck the man. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
At this time, there is no description of the vehicle or the suspect involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
