[09-16-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Woman Killed After Apparently Being Struck By Vehicle in Palmdale

A woman died after apparently being struck by a vehicle in Palmdale late Wednesday night, September 16, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station, deputies responded at around 11:20 p.m. to the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue P following a report of a pedestrian down in the roadway.

Authorities said a passerby reported the incident after seeing vehicles driving around the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies continued investigating the circumstances of the incident for several hours. Authorities said it was not immediately clear whether the incident was a hit-and-run.
