[09-14-2024] Plumas County, CA – DUI Incident in Lake Almanor West Results in Major Injuries

A DUI incident involving a golf cart was reported in Plumas County on Saturday morning, September 14, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Lake Almanor West Drive near Long Iron Drive.

Authorities stated that Riley S., 23, was driving a two-sea Club Car Golf cart westbound when she made a left turn, causing the right rear passenger, Cassidy C., 23, to be ejected from the cart.

Cassidy C. sustained major injuries and was transported to Enloe Medical Center for treatment, while Riley S. was arrested at the scene for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The other passengers, including Joseph D., Chloe B., and Lena H.—all from the San Francisco Bay Area—did not suffer any injuries.

There is no additional information.
