[09-14-2024] Merced County, CA – 17-Year-Old Boy Injured After DUI Hit-And-Run Crash in Los Banos

A DUI hit-and-run crash injured a teen riding an electric scooter in Los Banos on Saturday morning, September 14, 2024.

According to the Los Banos Police Department, the incident happened on F Street near Second Street at around 12:30 a.m.

A 22-year-old man driving a Nissan ran a stop sign and struck a 17-year-old boy. The teen suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver initially fled the scene but was later apprehended by police. He was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
