A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in the community of Pala, San Diego County, on Saturday morning, September 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:58 a.m. on Highway 76 and Lilac Extension Road near the Pala Casino Spa Resort.
The pedestrian was reportedly walking in the middle of the road when they were struck by a Nissan Versa and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle pulled over to the right shoulder following the collision.
Authorities did not release the identity, age, or gender of the pedestrian and continue to investigate the incident.
