A car crash near Greer Elementary in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento County resulted in injuries to both a pedestrian and the driver on Wednesday morning, September 11, 2024.
California Highway Patrol logs show that the crash occurred around 8:16 a.m. on northbound Bell Street near Hurley Way.
According to CHP officials, a woman drove her vehicle off the road, striking a man walking on the sidewalk before crashing into a power pole.
The woman sustained minor injuries, while the pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries.
The San Juan Unified School District confirmed that the injured pedestrian was not affiliated with or related to any students at Greer Elementary.
