A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a crash on southbound Interstate 280 near Page Mill Road in Los Altos Hills, Santa Clara County, on Tuesday afternoon, September 9, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:00 p.m. Initial investigations revealed that the rider of a 2013 Ducati motorcycle was “splitting traffic at a high rate of speed” when he crashed into the rear of a vehicle in the far left lane. The impact caused the rider to be thrown onto the roadway, and he may have been hit by a white Dodge Ram.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. His identity has not been released. The driver of the Dodge stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
