[09-09-2025] 14-Year-Old Boy Injured in Collision with GMC Yukon Near Foster Road and Woodland Street in OrcuttA 14-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a GMC Yukon while riding an electric scooter near Foster Road and Woodland Street in Orcutt on Tuesday evening, September 9, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:05 p.m. as the teen attempted to cross the street. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but an update on his condition or the extent of his injuries was not immediately available.

CHP Commander Joe Rodriguez expressed concern for the boy’s well-being and extended support to him and his family.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have video footage to contact Officer Naylor at the CHP’s Santa Maria area office at (805) 608-6310.

CHP is also reminding parents and guardians to regularly discuss safe riding practices with their children, including staying alert, wearing a properly fitted helmet, and following the rules of the road.
