A male driver was killed after an SUV collided with a fully loaded tractor-trailer near the entrance to the Sterling Pointe shopping center on Lincoln Boulevard in Lincoln on Monday morning, September 8, 2025.
According to Lincoln police, officers responded shortly after 10:00 a.m. The SUV sustained major front-end damage, and emergency crews performed extensive extrication to remove the male driver from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured. Northbound Lincoln Boulevard was closed for several hours while authorities investigated the crash.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
