[09-06-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Man Killed After Head-On Collision on 240th Street East and Avenue O in Lancaster

A man in his 30s was killed in a traffic collision involving two vehicles in Lancaster on Friday morning, September 6, 2024.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of 240th Street East and Avenue O.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2012 Chrysler was traveling northbound on 240th Street East when it crossed the center dividing line and collided head-on with a 2011 Dodge Ram traveling southbound.

The driver of the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Ram sustained minor injuries and was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of family members by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
