An 18-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Sacramento on Wednesday evening, September 4, 2024.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:15 p.m. near Franklin Boulevard and Cosumnes River Boulevard.
Authorities stated that the woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died from her injuries. Her identity has not been released.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. DUI is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
