[09-04-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Male Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Hollywood Freeway Near Vermont Avenue

A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the Hollywood (101) Freeway in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 2:28 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Vermont Avenue.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the man lying in one of the freeway lanes. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
