According to the Ripon Police Department, the incident began around 9:00 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a Tesla being driven erratically at the Love’s truck stop in Ripon. The vehicle had also been parked in several handicap spots.

Upon arrival, an officer made contact with the passenger while the driver was inside the store. The driver later returned to the Tesla and sped away.

The driver fled the scene but was arrested later that night. Felony hit-and-run charges are pending.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

There is no additional information immediately available.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You

Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
