A hit-and-run investigation is underway after a woman was killed in Stockton on Sunday morning, September 1, 2024.
Police responded to reports of an unresponsive person at West Lane and El Pinal Drive shortly after 4:45 a.m.
Officers discovered a woman, believed to be in her 40s or 50s, who was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe her injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle, but the driver was not present at the scene.
As of Sunday afternoon, no suspect information has been released, and the investigation is ongoing.
