A 61-year-old woman was found dead after a possible hit-and-run crash between two vehicles on Sea World Drive near West Mission Bay Drive in San Diego on Saturday morning, August 30, 2025.
San Diego police reported that the original collision occurred around 12:20 a.m., when one vehicle rear-ended another, pushing it off the roadway. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene on foot. Both vehicles remained at the scene until cleared by authorities at approximately 2:00 a.m.
Officers returned to the area around 1:00 p.m. after receiving a report of a person’s body. Police said the woman is believed to be a victim of the earlier crash, though it was initially unknown that she was nearby.
No suspect is in custody, and police have not released details about the driver who fled. Authorities continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact the San Diego Police.
